Got a Question? Here’s An Answer!

Not sure about something regarding our events, or activities? Want to donate but don’t know how to? Find answers to some of the questions you may have regarding Once a Month here. We’ve addressed some of the most common ones below, but if something still isn’t clear feel free to contact us. We’ll be happy to assist you in any way possible.

How many people do you impact with your charitable work?

Once a Month was started at the University of Manchester. UoM turns out 200 packages a month. Once a Month is still growing and being set up at universities across the country. So far, the other universities haven't begun their packing sessions yet, but once they have, they plan to pack around 150 packages a month.

If I make a donation, can I decide what my money is used for?

All the money we receive goes towards making and transporting our period packages, putting together fundraisers and a small portion goes towards a thank you session that is offered to volunteers at some of our branches. It is not possible for us to guarantee what exactly your monetary donation will go towards, but every donation does in some way provide support for those experiencing period poverty and allow Once a Month to keep going.

How can I help?

There are a number of ways that you can help us. You can either make a physical or monetary donation to us, find out more on our Donate page. You can also volunteer with us if you are a student at any of our listed universities, just contact them using the contact information on the Our Branches page to see how you can get involved.

Can I decide which branch my donations will go to?

In short, yes. Whether you make a monetary donation or donate period and hygiene products, you can decide which branch it goes to. You can click here to find the contact information of each branch if you'd like to contact them directly about making a monetary or physical donation or, for monetary donations, you can write which branch you'd like it to go to in the notes section when you donate.

Once a Month isn't a project at my university, can I set one up?

Of course! If you'd like to find out more about what setting up Once a Month at your university would involve, then don't hesitate to contact us. If you decide that it's not for you, then that's fine, there's no pressure! Once a Month leaders act like a support network for each other, so leaders from other universities will be happy to guide and support you if you would like to be a project leader yourself.
